Stop Divorce, Ask Yourself If You Know What Your Doing

By Sabrina Summerfield

Divorce has become quite a large problem and if anything a profitable business for divorce lawyers. It almost seems like divorce happens to be becoming the final resort to marriage. Almost a planned process that every couple goes through. Why is it that this is the case? Well there are several reasons that this could be what is happening. Some of which include outside stresses related to family, and even couples who really aren't ready to get married but take the leap for whatever reason.

Perhaps one of the most influential reasons why couples get married so quickly now in days is societies view on relationships and the need for marriage. How often have you known a couple that has only been together a short time and is already constantly harassed by everyone about when they are going to "tie the knot"? We have apparently replaced the end goal of a relationship with marriage instead of happiness.

Without effective levels of communication things are naturally going to become overlooked and then later blown out of proportion. This happens because one person usually ends up completely hating the other person for whatever reason they have been keeping bottled up.

It isn't puppy love, or love based on pregnancy, or a desire to please ones family. It is an important choice and should be considered as such. We need to stop treating it as a fun past time or an event that naturally happens whenever we feel the need to do something.

Divorce is extremely damaging to the family unit. Especially if it happens to involve children or anyone other than the two parties involved. People tend to be selfish to an extent in a marriage. They don't really understand what the institution of marriage is actually and they regularly abuse its privileges and its benefits. It should be considered a great deal by both parties before agreeing to partake in the ceremony. Everyone has to realize that when a marriage ends and there is a family created they are then split. Children are unaware of what is actually happening most of the time.

For these reasons couples really need to consider what it means to partake in marriage. They need to be ready to completely and utterly be there and be supportive of their spouse. They need to work to stop divorce.
