A Review Of Cooling Castle Barn And Wedding Cars Kent.

By Gavin Burnham

For many happy couples, Kent's Cooling Castle Barn has become a favorite venue for weddings. On the grounds are three barns that host different aspects of the ceremony: the Tithe for wedding breakfasts; the Heritage, for guest receptions; and the Fathom for marriage ceremonies. The well-kept grounds set off the open floor plan within the barns, and all is complemented by the courteous and professional service of the staff.

Construction for Cooling Castle took place between 1380 and 1385. John Cobham built the structure at the marsh edge to protect the Thames River. The Thames, however, now flows two miles from the ruins of the building, where Jools Holland, a musician, lives in a private residence. Visitors will still admire the lush garden and the twin drum tower gatehouse, which are kept in good condition. Both of these attractive features serve as backdrops for many photographs, particularly wedding photographs.

There is the option of having your wedding either outdoors under the garden gazebo or inside within a wing of the barn itself. Both provide a lovely location for your Kent wedding. Cooling Castle provides a Toastmaster which is a very helpful service for couples. He will help your day run as smoothly as possible and will take away some of the logistic headaches, meaning you can relax and enjoy your day that little bit more.

At the facility, couples may engage Cars 4 Weddingswedding car hire service. An appropriate car will drive up to the wedding reception, meeting with the Toastmaster to make plans for the day's proceedings. The driver stands on the sidelines while the couple goes through the marriage ceremony and then takes the newly married couple on a tour about the countryside. Upon request, couples can enjoy champagne during their car ride until the vehicle brings them back to the reception. The wedding photographer will then photograph the vehicle and the couple, using the castle towers as the background.

In the gardens, guest gather to wait for the groom and the bride to return from their car ride. As soon as the photographer finishes his work, the driver pulls the vehicle into the gardens and circles the lawn. The assembled guests cheer and applaud for the couple, and the wedding cars wait as guests and photographers take their final wedding shots.
