Save Money With A Match Discount

By Jeremy Roberts

There is no doubt that online dating memberships can be a bit expensive. I've seen some websites that cost up to $60 dollars each month. With no guarantee that you will find your match, not everyone is ready to dish out that kind of cash. Rich people may not care, but the rest of us would welcome any way to save a little on subscriptions to dating sites. Fortunately, there is an easy way to get a Match.com discount that is the equivalent of paying half price. In this article, I will show you exactly how to do that.

To start, let's examine the regular membership price at Match.com, which starts at $34.99 a month. To be sure, this is not a bad price, considering that many sites charge more.

But what would it end up costing us if we got a six month membership? The cost of a 6-month membership is $101.94. So as you probably expected, the price of a 6 month plan is far greater than the price of a 1-month plan.

However, upon closer examination, this is not true. The $101.94 6-month plan actually works out to be $16.99 a month. That's a Match discount of 51% over the $34.99 regular monthly price.

You might think that it's obvious you'd save money with a longer term plan. Sure, you probably already knew that. But did you really know your Match.com discount could be over 50%? That's a pretty big discount. Even with the 3-month plan, you're looking at savings that translate into a 43% Match discount.

A 1-month membership to Match.com doesn't make much sense to begin with. After all, what are the odds that you will fall in love in one short month? When you consider the fact that most online dating members use the site for several months, and you can get a big Match discount by buying a long membership, the best option is to go ahead and get a 3 to 6 month membership plan.
