By Paul Lindquist

Dealing with breakup pain is always very difficult. A lot of people think they can get over this pain quickly, but after a while they realize that dealing with breakup pain is much the same as getting over the loss of someone who is close to them.

When it comes to dealing with a painful breakup, the thing of greatest importance is to figure out a way to cope with all the emotions and persevere through these hard days even when you feel like there is no hope.

Going through breakups in relationships causes alot of people to feel miserable. These feelings can last for an extended period of time, depending on how serious your relationship was. What makes it even harder for people to deal with breakups is when they must do it by themselves.

Dealing with breakup pain can be made easier by realizing that others have gone through the same thing and been able to tell their story. The reminder that others have walked your path will encourage you and help you in dealing with breakup pain. The key is to deal with the pain in a prompt and healthy way.

While getting through the pain, you must be persistent in seeking to heal, rather than just giving up on things. Toward this end, you want to stop dwelling on the pain of the breakup, and instead focus on improving yourself and moving forward.

These tips will be of assistance to you when dealing with breakup pain to help you stop dwelling on the negative things about the breakup. Don't forget that the more your mind is focused on the negative, the harder it will be to get over the breakup and move on.

Here are some practical actions you can take to make this happen:

1. Take a few minutes every day to look at things in your life you can feel good about. Pose better questions to yourself like "what is going on right now I can feel happy about?" "What am I thankful for?" If you take a close enough look, you can always find things in your life that will encourage you.

2. Get out and spend time with friends and family. Spending time with them will help take your mind off of the pain of the break up.

These are the people that care about you, and it is important to use their help and support when you are going through a tough time.

So, while dealing with breakup pain, you don't have to do it by yourself. Focus on the positive aspects of your life and make use of your network of loved ones and you will get through the pain of the breakup in the quickest time possible.
